Palladium is a precious metal, part of the platinum group of metals. It has become a popular metal for the 21st Century, although it has been used in jewellery manufacture since the 1930s.
It is naturally white in colour and is extremely hard wearing. It is more than 12% harder and 40% lighter than platinum, and unlike white gold will remain white in colour without the need to be re-whitened by rhodium plating.
Palladium is suitable for even the most sensitive of skins as it is nickel free and hypo-allergenic. Palladium shows the 950 mark although a legally recognised UK hallmark was introduced in 2009. This will help to build up consumer confidence in and appreciation for this delightful precious metal.
