Do you have a shop?

Can I order by telephone?
Yes, you can place an order by calling 01325 480777 during our shop opening hours which are 9.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Saturday.
Can I collect the item from your shop?
Yes - please contact prior to calling in to ensure the item is in stock in our shop.
How much is delivery?
Delivery is free of charge to addresses in the UK. Please contact us if you wish to place an international order.
Can you deliver to a work address?
Yes, we can deliver to your place of work or an alternative residential address without a problem. Simply give us the delivery address along with the billing address when you placeyour order.
Do you deliver on a Sunday?
We use Royal Mail Special Delivery for the majority of our packages and therefore we cannot deliver on Sunday.
What kind of packaging do you use
to protect my purchase during transit?
It is very important to us that the watches and jewellery we supply arrive safely at their destination. All items are securely protected and packaged. We also appreciate that your purchase may be intended as a gift, therefore our packaging is unbranded with no mention of jewellers on it.
Do your watches and jewellery come in boxes?
All of our branded products come in the official manufacturer's boxes and packaging, just as you would expect if you bought your item from our high street shop. Our own jewellery products come in luxury 'Sharp & Sons' branded boxes. You can see an example of the boxes and packaging on the item's product details page.
Can I return an item to you?

Do you have an email address?
We do not have a direct email address, however you can contact us by using the enquiry form on our web site.
How often is the web site updated?
We monitor stock levels constantly and the web site is updated at least once every day.
Are you authorised stockists?
Yes, we are official authorised stockists for all the brands we sell. If you search any of the manufacturers' websites you will find 'Sharp & Sons Limited, Darlington' listed as a stockist.
Are the products brand new and genuine?
Yes, we only sell 100% genuine, brand new stock. We do not sell 'B' marked, grey market or reconditioned goods. All items are sent with original boxes, all instruction manuals and, where appropriate, stamped and dated manufacturer guarantees.
We only supply products to consumers (personal and business). We do not respond to enquiries asking us to supply bulk amounts of goods for supply elsewhere, as this is not allowed in the terms of contract as an official authorised stockist.
We are happy to supply non-trade bulk orders to individuals or companies for presentations, long service awards, birthdays, corporate events etc. If you are planning to buy several watches please contact us as you may be eligible for further discounts.
Who supplies the guarantee for my watch?
We are official authorised stockists for all of our watch brands, therefore all of our watches are covered by the official manufacturer's guarantee. Buying from an official authorised stockist means that if your watch malfunctions you can be confident that it will be fixed and restored quickly and efficiently by the original manufacturer. Websites who supply watches from the grey market can only supply a guarantee that they will fix it, leaving you without the back-up of a manufacturer's guarantee should the web site go out of business.
If you do have any problems with your watch, the quickest and most efficient course of action is to return it direct to the manufacturer with your manufacturer's guarantee card and a covering letter stating your address and outlining the general problem. You are also welcome to return it to us and we will pass it on to the manufacturer on your behalf for assessment and, where necessary, repair.
If your watch does stop working we will also provide you with full support. This is added peace of mind to your official manufacturer's guarantee. Please note that accidental damage is not covered by your manufacturer's guarantee. We strongly recommend that you read the guarantee to inform you what is and what is not covered.
How water resistant is my watch?
Customers often ask what the stated water resistance of watches actually means. A common misunderstanding is that a watch with 100m on the dial can be used to dive to a depth of 100m. This is not the case as the 100m refers to static pressure and not the actual depth of water to which it will work. 100 metres means the pressure experienced if it was static at 100 metres depth. When a watch is moving, the pressure rises well above the static pressure, therefore the water resistance limits can be reached in shallow depths. For example, if you were to dive into a swimming pool the pressure would change rapidly and this can be enough to exceed the limits of some water resistant standards.
Common Water Resistance Standards:
Water resistant - can withstand slight splashes and moisture in general daily activities, but should NOT to be immersed in water.
30 metres / 3 ATM - Protected against water splashes, rain and being submerged in small amounts of water.
50 metres / 5 ATM - Suitable for surface swimming.
100 metres / 10 ATM - Suitable for swimming and shallow diving including water sports.
200 metres / 20 ATM - Suitable for scuba diving, though not deep sea.
There are watches available specifically for deep sea diving. A range of Divers' watches from Citizen are available on our site. All Rotary watches (excluding those made from precious metals) have a 'waterproof' guarantee. Put simply, this means a Rotary watch can go as deep as humanly possible, unless it is otherwise stated on our website.
If you have the battery in your watch changed, please ensure your jeweller checks the pressure and seals to ensure that it is still suitable to wear at the water pressure stated.
Can you adjust my watch bracelet before you send it to me?
When purchasing a watch with a metal bracelet we can adjust the bracelet before sending it out to you. This service is free of charge. After you have placed your order simply send us a follow up message using our enquiry form stating your name, order number and wrist size required and we will adjust the bracelet before we send it. Any links we remove will be enclosed in the box with the purchase.
You can measure your wrist size with a tape measure or a piece of string, or you could measure an old watch if you have one. Alternatively you can have it adjusted by visiting a local jeweller's shop. Most jewellers should be able to perform this service for a small fee. We will do our best to try to ensure the measurement is precise, however this is not always possible with a simple wrist measurement. If you need to have the watch further adjusted by a local jeweller we do not offer any compensation as our initial adjustment service is free of charge.
